Whats happening in my world

A very annoying bad back has restricted my miniature activities this week, have listed another couple of items today.

Lots of things on the go right now and am very hopeful of listing quite a lot of new metal items before July is out.

Miniatures seem to be taking over my life right now, with golf completely put to rest for this year, bowls only once a week, I seem to be spending my life in the workshop.

Am also starting to rebuild the website, pages will be themed, ie, kitchenware, workshop, lounge etc, some pages will not have much on them to start with, but my plans for the forseeable future mean they will soon get filled up. No pages will be affected whilst working on the site and all being well I will just change it over one evening when it is ready.

Had a busy week or so and now added page three to items for sale, a few more and then I will start categorising the pages.

A lot of the things I make can also be made to different sizes, just ask if interested.

A full day in the workshop today has resulted in listing a few more items, only half day tomorrow due to the World Cup Final.

Couple more new items to get finished then I will be concentrating on making new things ready for my next bout of metal casting, taps and toy soldiers will be on their way soon, hopefully.

Just added a few more items to th site, have now added page two, at some point I shall categorise the pages, but a month or so away from that.

Hope to add more next weekend all being well, models in the workshop are shaping up well, very pleased so far with my washing mangle, got a few things on the go, one thing leads to another so I sometimes make a start on something new in case I forget.

Just finished adding my latest miniatures to the website, also changing the site around a little, where that will end? don't know as I don't seem to have any idea as to what I'm doing.

Have removed some of my frames and added a new one, also remaining frames are now reduced in price, when they're gone they're gone, I shall be working on a new range over the next couple of months.

Have now completed all the orders I got from my last fair, what with the bowls season well under way, it's been quite a busy couple of months for me.

Have managed to finally get some new items made and all being well will have some of them on the website next week. The website is going to be quite dramatically changed, paintings and frames will still be there, but there is going to be a lot more miniatures to look at.

Have spent all day today cleaning and re-arranging my workshop, now ready to pursue my new ideas a lot more, my next fair is at Chipping Sodbury in two months time, all being well the table is going to look quite different to what it has been in the past.

Well, what a day that was, The venue was perfect, weather not too bad, lots of visitors, all the vendors seemed very happy, I know I was, I sold well throughout the day, thankyou to all who came along for a chat and a bigger thankyou to all who bought from me.

The fair could have held a few more miniaturists, but being the first one for PMP fairs it was pretty well attended, I'm betting it will be full next year though, I will certainly be there again.

Am now packed ready for Stourport Manor Hotel Miniatures Fair on May 2nd (tomorrow), hope we get lots of visitors. We will be raising money for Children with Special needs.

Relaixng a little now, stand finally made, just another coat of paint, more than enough paintings, just the finishing touches now to the easels and some frames and I'm ready for Stourport on May 2nd, hopefully see you there.

I will have for sale at Stourport what I consider the best three paintings I have ever done and they are all oils, practice has proved that I can now get the detail which I couldn't before, surprising what can be done with a knob pin. I've never been the most patient of people but with oils I have had to be and I think it's paid off.

Oil paintings coming along nicely, have added my three latest efforts at the bottom of my paintings for sale page, will be on sale at Stourport on May 2nd.

The next couple of weeks I shall be concentrating on some watercolours of local scenes. With just under four weeks to go I am now feeling a lot more confident of having a good selection for sale. 

Oh yes, I have still to build a new stand!!!

I paid a visit at the weekend to Miniatura, been 18 months now since I exhibited there, time I started to plan to do it again, if you haven't been then try your best, the work seems to get better and better.

New items still being produced for the Stourport fair, more details pretty soon, also my venture in oils is paying off, already got 3 period paintings almost finished, just waiting for them to dry so I can put the final touches, I am very pleased with them.

A day off real work, at last!

Got  a fair bit done in the workshop, including starting to build a new stand in time for Stourport, have had to discard my last stand as all it was made for was paintings, so much more to display next time, good job MDF doesn't cost a lot.

Design is in my head and I just build as I go along, I'm not that technically minded.

Have got to spend a bit of time painting local scenes over the coming weeks.

Almost finished my aga, I'll know if it's any good if someone buys one.

A tip for artisans reading this, industrial strength super glue is brilliant, it sticks fingers very quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have been busy in the workshop today, items which have been on the go for a while have now been finished and added to the miscellaneous page.

Very pleased with the copper, range and candlesticks.

Our casting in pewter is getting much better, some new designs are now being prepared for the next mould and hopefully listed here very soon.

Only about 6 or 7 weeks till our first fair of the year and am now feeling more confident we shall fill our table, at the last count there were approx 50 paintings with prices to suit all pockets.
